Honestly, I don’t even remember where I got this. Really freaking me out right now. Last night, for the first time ever, my knowledge of obscure rap music paid off. My buddy and I were enjoying several premium beers (we’re talking $8 or $9 a piece premium) and shooting the shit with the bartender, who was visibly upset that we weren’t hot girls. He was nice enough, and we started talking about Positive Contact, a Dogfish Head beer that uses a Deltron 3030 song as its inspiration. In fact, it was dreamt up with Dan The Automator, who produced that song and is a total G. But I digress. The beer itself is terrible, by the way. Just awful. But our bartender was so amped that I knew about Deltron 3030 that he talked to us for the next two hours. As it turns out, he had a Cannibal Ox tattoo, which is the most dedicated thing I’ve ever seen. And totally ballsy. At closing time (1 am – how lame is Boston?) he rang us out at $19.43. We easily owed him $100, and he let us off the hook. All because of rap music. And people say it’s a detriment to society. Fools!
