One of the more popular (as in commented on) Daily Blackouts is the Parrot Bay Mango Daquiri. Some people liked my take on it, but the majority were pretty pissed off that I didn’t like it. I started wondering: why the hell would anyone rush to defend a sugary alcoholic beverage that comes in a goddamn bag? I still don’t know. But for the record, I gave it a decent score. In order to get a 1 or .5 here, you’ve got to be a really shitty drink. I actually don’t mind these baggy drinks all that much anyway. They’re relatively inoffensive, all things considered. And there is something fun about tearing one open and pouring it into a glass. The only real problem is that the cat food I buy for Mr. Kitty is of a similar design,and I can’t open this without thinking of his Whiskas Choice Cuts, which smell like rotting flesh and toenail clippings.

Color
The color is fantastic. Just wonderful. It’s a lot darker, but similar to what you see on the bag above. It looks like a blue raspberry ICEE, which is the best flavor.

Taste
I think I froze it improperly, because half of it melted and half didn’t. Ever try to drink a frozen beer? That sort of thing. It was still tasty, and I think I may have actually liked it.Devastatingly sweet, of course, but it’s supposed to be.
Final Verdict
Not bad at all. I’d even say I’m impressed. 3.5 out of a possible 5. Here’s the trailer of a pretty decent movie I watched last night. I recommend it.
