Smirnoff Frozen Cherry Limeade
Today’s Mistake: Smirnoff Frozen Cherry Limeade. BOOOORING.
Smirnoff Frozen Cherry Limeade
5% alcohol by volume
10 ounce pouch
Price: $3.99
Finally, the last pouch I’ll have to do for a while (at least until I walk down to Marty’s and buy their 14 new pouches). I like the whole idea of these “freeze n’ squeeze” pouches, especially because my sweating habits could be described as “problematic” and “offensive.” The summer months are not kind to me, and they never have been, so drinking a lot of beer just makes me tired. That’s the only reason I think I’d buy these things, because they’re pretty expensive for what you get. I would have to buy about 50 of them, and that’ll bankrupt TDB for weeks. Something I like that Smirnoff does with their “freeze n’ squeeze” pouches: rip off traditional ICEE flavors and colors and add a little bit of booze. Really brings me back to the summers of my youth, as a sweaty young boy in Philadelphia, constantly sucking down blue ICEES from Wawa to combat the heat. Nostalgia, TDB has it.
From a glass.
Color
Pink when frozen, but as it inevitably melts a bit, the runoff is dark red.
Nose
Nice fake-cherry fumes.
Taste
Pretty tasty. It’s much better after it melts a little bit, but I cannot discern much other than super-sweet cherry. Also, no alcohol whatsoever.
Final Verdict
I like this quite a bit. Maybe because it’s so damn hot outside. 4 out of a possible 5. Here’s one of my favorite BnB episodes.
