Best Burgers – NYC edition

New York City is famous for, among many things, its incredible restaurants. No matter your craving, your budget, or time of day, you will always be able to find a great bite in the city.  Luckily for you, we scoured Manhattan to best feed your burger needs. Here are some of our favorite burgers up to date:

The Whitehall Burger:

The recently opened Whitehall Bar+Kitchen boasts some pretty delicious modern British dishes. However, it’s their Whitehall burger that is sure to get you drooling. Pickled beets, caramelized onions, cheddar, easy egg, need I say more? Make your way to 19 Greenwich Ave. and indulge in its messy glory!

P.S. Their cocktails don’t suck either.

Minetta Tavern’s Black Label Burger:

You might have to make a reservation at the Minetta Tavern restaurant a couple of weeks in advance in order to get your hands on this burger’s prime dry-aged beef cuts and Balthazar bakery buns, but they are completely worth it.

The Burger Joint at Le Parker Meridien:

I admit, maybe half the fun of going to this Burger Joint is its unexpected location. In a corner of Le Parker Meridien hotel’s swanky lobby, you’ll find a door hidden behind large black curtains. Behind it you will find the graffitied walls and vinyl booths that make up this awesome burger place. That and maybe one of the best six-dollar burgers you can find.

Island Burgers and Shakes:

What makes Island Burgers and Shakes so great is their incredible burger variety. Whether you like your burger “simple,” with “a little kick,” “hot,” or even “decadent,” you will find something seemingly tailored exclusively for you on their menu. They have everything from a Cowboy burger, served with BBQ sauce, sauteed onions, bacon cheddar and ranch dressing, to a Pizza burger, which is served with mozzarella, marinara, sauteed onions, mushrooms, roasted peppers and Parmagiana reggiano.

My personal favorite, the South of the Border burger (duh), served with Jack, salsa, guacamole,  jalapeno. tomatoes and sauteed onions. Yum..
